I’m All About that Blog

31 of 31  Apologies to Meghan Trainor for cloning and mutating her song “All About the Bass.”

Slice Daily for the Entire Month of March

Sliced Daily Every Day of March
Late twice (because the meandering mind, just couldn’t stop)
Back to Tuesdays (hopefully more consistently this year)

Sliced 31 of 31–I guess I can go back to sleeping, reading, FBing, and other -ings. Wow, 31 days of writing. I love the ebb and flow of it, the way life looks different, the way new meaning is revealed in little things. I will miss the daily blog, but chillin’ late night sounds soooooo good.

March Madness I’m all about that blog
‘Bout that blog, no sleeping
I’m all about that blog
‘Bout that blog, no grading
I’m all about that blog
‘Bout that blog, I’m fading…
I’m all about that blog
‘Bout that blog… blog… blog… blog
Yeah, it’s pretty clear, I’m forcing metaphors
But I can write it, write it, ‘cuz I’m a dark horse.
“Cause I got that tap tap right on this blog page–
All the right words just scroll through my pages.

I see them other bloggers slice a few then stop.
You know we slice each week, come on now we can’t stop
If you got bloggy, bloggy  just tap it up,
‘Cuz every word of yours has meaning from the bottom to the top.

2 Writing teachers, they told me, “Don’t worry about your slice.”
(Shoo wop wop, sha-ooh wop wop)
They say, “Blogs give your thoughts a place to sleep at night”
(That bloggy, uh, that bloggy bloggy)
You know I won’t be no teacher playing the role of writer on a hall
So I know I gotta get outta my head and move along,

Because you know I’m all about that blog
‘Bout that blog, no sleeping
I’m all about that blog
‘Bout that blog, no grading
I’m all about that blog
‘Bout that blog, I’m fading
I’m all about that blog
‘Bout that blog…
Hey! I’m taking a blogging nap
Go ‘head and tell them Two Teachers that
No, I’m just playing, I know you think you can’t
But I’m here to tell you…
Every slice of yours is perfect from the bottom to the top.

‘Bout that blog… Hey!
