That is a super-sweet haiku! The very fact that it takes the nature-based haiku and submits it to the “glowing master” is a statement in itself, but beyond that this is a great piece of craft! Those ‘s’ and ‘t’ sounds in the last two lines are magic! And the philosophical implications of “staccato thoughts” (as opposed to other kinds), and the fact that even these thoughts are subject to suppression…wow. Poetic and really profound as well. Home run! Grand slam! LOVED it!! 🙂
